Mireka Capital Land (Pvt) Limited, the developer of Havelock City, is a joint venture between Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC (ORC PLC), the owner, developer and manager of the World Trade Center, Colombo and the Bank of Ceylon (BoC), the largest bank in Sri Lanka. ORC PLC owns 60% of Mireka while BoC owns 40%.
The Board of Directors of Mireka Capital Land comprise Mr. S. P. Tao, Dr Mrs. Mildred Tao Ong, Mr. H. Z. Cassim, Mrs. R. L. Nanayakkara, Mr. A. M. de S. Jayaratne, Dr. Gamini Wickremasinghe, Mr. R. Sivaraman and Mr. Ralph de Lanerolle. Mr. S. P. Tao is also the Chairman of the Shing Kwan Group of Singapore. The Shing Kwan Group is the majority shareholder of ORC PLC and the Group's portfolio of expertise include investment, development and management of real estate in China (Nanjing, Beijing and Shanghai), Indonesia (Jakarta) and Singapore. |
